With a commitment to innovation, customer satisfaction, and operational excellence, we're constantly seeking talented individuals to join our team and help drive our success. As a Data Entry Specialist, you'll play a vital role in maintaining accurate and organized records that support our operational excellence, while also contributing to the development of new products and services that enhance the customer experience.

Job Summary

We're seeking an experienced Full Stack Data Entry Specialist to join our Innovation Office team. As a key member of our team, you'll have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects across different groups, including Air Tasks, Client and Business, Framework and Services, and People and Finance. You'll work closely with business clients to gather requirements, analyze data, and develop quality technical solutions that meet their needs. If you're a detail-oriented, analytical, and customer-focused individual with a passion for innovation and problem-solving, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity.

Key Responsibilities

As a Data Entry Specialist, your key responsibilities will include:
  • Working with business clients to gather requirements and analyze data related to frameworks and business processes to develop quality technical solutions.
  • Ensuring that solutions are aligned with internal tooling, business processes, and departmental guidelines.
  • Managing project timelines for planning, coding, testing, and execution to ensure that solutions are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Serving as a liaison to facilitate effective communication between business and Innovation teams.
  • Participating in system and acceptance testing.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive project success.

Group Stage QMO: Quality Management Office

The Quality Management Office (QMO) is a critical component of our Innovation space, focusing on the application side of our operations. Our team is responsible for ensuring the quality of the applications used by our teams (airline stewards and pilots) for their daily tasks. Without ensuring that these applications are of high quality, it could lead to issues during flight operations, which would ultimately affect our performance. These applications are essential for our expected-to-fly arrangement of uses. Our daily work involves collaborating with Case's (Scrum Expert, Engineer, Product Owners) to test the application as they make changes. We also measure progress and ensure that management is aware of how testing is going.

Client and Business: Southwest Getaways (SWAV)

The Southwest Getaways (SWAV) group is at the forefront of developing a new, revenue-generating product for Southwest beyond its core air product. This is a fast-paced, highly focused business drive where you'll have the opportunity to learn about the air business as well as the travel industry as a whole.

At Southwest Airlines, we're committed to providing our employees with equal opportunities for learning and self-improvement. As a Data Entry Specialist, you'll have the chance to:
  • Make a meaningful impact in your group's projects.
  • Work collaboratively with other Innovation Assistants and workgroups.
  • Contribute to organizational drives and initiatives.
  • Develop your skills and expertise in a dynamic and supportive environment.

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you'll need:
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Essential knowledge of business analysis, process modeling, and improvement.
  • Essential knowledge of technical environments.
  • Openness to Agile methodologies.
  • Essential understanding of project management procedures.
  • Critical thinking and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to remain organized and manage multiple and simultaneous tasks under tight deadlines.

  • Past investigator internship experience within the past year.
  • Experience tackling business issues in a capstone or case competition.
  • Ability to work in a culture that is open, direct, respectful, and empathetic.

  • A 401(k) retirement plan with company match.
  • Flexible scheduling and work-life balance.
