Job Summary

We're seeking an experienced Full Stack Data Scientist to join our team of innovators and problem-solvers. As a key member of our analytics team, you'll be responsible for leveraging advanced data science, predictive analytics, and machine learning techniques to drive business growth, improve customer experiences, and enhance operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities

As a Full Stack Data Scientist at Walgreens, you'll be responsible for:
  • Building and deploying machine learning models using technical expertise in data science, statistical modeling, probability and decision theory, and other quantitative methods.
  • Developing and maintaining large-scale data pipelines, data warehouses, and data lakes to support business intelligence and data-driven decision-making.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including finance, research, software development, and business leaders, to define product requirements and provide analytical support.
  • Communicating complex technical concepts and insights to non-technical stakeholders, including business leaders, product managers, and customers.
  • Designing and implementing A/B experiments to measure the impact of business decisions and drive continuous improvement.
  • Developing and maintaining advanced data visualization tools and dashboards to support business intelligence and data-driven decision-making.
  • Staying up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in data science, machine learning, and cloud computing, and applying this knowledge to drive innovation and business growth.

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you'll need:
  • A Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field, such as computer science, statistics, mathematics, or engineering, and a minimum of 4 years of experience in data science, machine learning, or a related field.
  • Advanced experience with programming languages, including Python, PySpark, and SQL.
  • Experience with cloud-based data platforms, including Azure, Databricks, and Snowflake.
  • Advanced knowledge of machine learning algorithms, including supervised and unsupervised learning techniques, and experience with model deployment and maintenance.
  • Experience with data visualization tools, including Tableau, Power BI, or D3.js.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Experience with agile development methodologies and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications would be a plus:
  • A Master's or Ph.D. in a quantitative field, such as computer science, statistics, mathematics, or engineering.
  • Experience with IoT and Edge AI technologies.
  • Experience with reinforcement learning and other advanced machine learning techniques.
  • Experience working in the healthcare industry or with healthcare-related data.
