As a key member of our team, you will: * **Interact with Beneficiaries and Providers**: Respond to customer inquiries via the helpline, providing timely and accurate information. * **Create, Format, and Proofread Letters**: Ensure that all correspondence is well-written, grammatically correct, and free of errors. * **Maintain Timeliness**: Meet deadlines and prioritize assignments to ensure that all tasks are completed efficiently. * **Make Decisions**: Use your judgment to resolve complex appeals and make decisions that impact our customers. * **Foster Effective Relationships**: Build and maintain relationships with internal and external customers, ensuring that our team is seen as a trusted partner. **Why Us?** At Arsenault, we're passionate about improving lives through healthcare quality and clinical expertise. Our benefits package is designed to provide you and your family with additional protection, security, and support, both in and out of the workplace. **What You'll Do** As a Customer Service Representative, you'll be responsible for: * **Typing/Merging, Proofing, and Printing Correspondence**: Ensure that all letters are well-written, grammatically correct, and free of errors. * **Communicating with External Customers**: Respond to customer inquiries via the helpline, providing timely and accurate information. * **Fostering Effective Working Relationships**: Build and maintain relationships with internal and external customers, ensuring that our team is seen as a trusted partner. * **Assisting with Review Team**: Participate in identifying areas for potential improvement, as noted on case reviews and process. * **Answering the Beneficiary Helpline**: Utilize the hunt group and available light functions to determine how to best assist callers. **Qualifications** To be successful in this role, you'll need: * **High School Diploma or Equivalent**: A high school diploma or equivalent is required, with post-high school business courses a plus. * **Medical Terminology Desired**: Knowledge of medical terminology is a plus, but not required. * **Excellent Verbal Communication Skills**: You'll need to be able to communicate effectively with internal and external customers, both verbally and in writing. * **Customer-Focused**: You'll need to be customer-focused, results-oriented, and capable of building and maintaining relationships with internal and external customers. * **General Knowledge of PC-Based Computer Systems**: Familiarity with PC-based computer systems is a plus, with the ability to learn additional software packages as needed. * **Ability to Multi-Task and Prioritize Assignments**: You'll need to be able to multi-task and prioritize assignments to ensure that all tasks are completed efficiently. **Experience** We're looking for candidates with: * **Two to Three Years of Clerical Experience**: Experience in a clerical role, including word processing, various filing systems, and telephone customer service responsibilities. * **Prior Work in a Healthcare Setting or Medical Terminology**: Experience in a healthcare setting or knowledge of medical terminology is a plus. * **Data Entry or Other Clerical Experience**: Prior data entry or other clerical experience is a plus. **Mental and Physical Requirements** The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
