Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement engaging and challenging lesson plans that meet the needs of diverse learners
• Provide high-quality instruction in English language arts, with a focus on promoting critical thinking, creativity, and communication skills
• Assess student learning and progress, using data to inform instruction and make data-driven decisions
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement curriculum, as well as to share best practices and resources
• Participate in professional development opportunities, including mentoring and coaching, to enhance teaching practices and stay current with industry trends
• Build strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues to create a positive and supportive learning environment
• Provide individualized support to students, including those with unique needs, to ensure their academic success
• Contribute to the development of a positive and inclusive school culture, through participation in school events and activities

Essential Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you must have:

• A valid teaching certification and endorsement in English language arts
• A strong background in teaching English language arts, with a focus on promoting critical thinking, creativity, and communication skills
• Experience working with diverse student populations, including those with unique needs
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues
• A commitment to ongoing professional development and a willingness to stay current with industry trends

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications are highly desirable:

• Experience with project-based learning and innovative teaching practices
• Familiarity with curriculum design and development, including the integration of technology
• A background in teaching English language learners or students with special needs
• Experience with data-driven instruction and assessment
