Key Responsibilities
As a SY 23-24 Korean Teacher, you'll play a vital role in shaping the minds of our students. Your primary responsibility will be to provide high-quality instruction in Korean language and culture, promoting academic achievement and cultural understanding. Here are some of the key duties you'll be expected to perform:
- Teaching Tasks
- Teach at an appropriate instructional level, providing content development and building for transfer
- Assess and encourage student progress, promoting student engagement and monitoring progress
- Manage the learning environment, using time efficiently and maintaining an effective physical setting for instruction
- Virtual Duties and Responsibilities
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders in the virtual platform, using positive interpersonal skills and electronic media
- Participate in professional learning to enhance your ability to provide engaging online instruction
- Clearly articulate deadlines, schedules, and procedures to students and parents
- General Duties and Responsibilities
- Follow professional practices consistent with school and district policies, working with students, parents, and colleagues
- Comply with school, district, and state administrative regulations and Board of Education policies
- Maintain accurate records, files reports promptly, and attends faculty meetings and other assigned activities
Essential and Preferred Qualifications
To be considered for this exciting opportunity, you'll need to meet our essential and preferred qualifications. Here's what we're looking for:
- Education Level: Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university (Advanced degree(s) preferred)
- Experience, Skill, and Certification: Valid Georgia Teaching Certificate in the assigned teaching field (Korean P-12 or ACTFL Oral Proficiency Interview (OPI) and Writing Proficiency Test (WPT))
- Skills and Competencies: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work in a virtual environment, and proficiency in Korean language and culture
