Job Summary
As a Virtual Monitoring Attendant, you will be responsible for maintaining visual observation of up to 12 patients at all times, monitoring patient behaviors and movements, and verbally redirecting patients over digital 2-way audio devices as needed. You will work onsite at St. Francis Hospital in Hartford, CT, and be part of a dynamic team that is passionate about delivering exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain continuous visual observation of up to 12 patients via remote camera monitoring
- Monitor patient behaviors and movements, and verbally redirect patients over digital 2-way audio devices using a microphone and headset
- Immediately summon nursing staff if a patient requires assistance
- Support the plan of care for patients requiring virtual monitoring
- Document incidents and report when a patient appears to pose a threat to themselves or others
- Communicate with internal and external customers/colleagues in a courteous, positive, empathic, and professional manner
Schedule and Work Environment
This is a part-time night shift role, working 24 hours per week from 7 PM to 7 AM. You will be required to work every other weekend and rotating holidays. Our 24/7 work environment is fast-paced and dynamic, and we're looking for individuals who are flexible and able to adapt to changing situations.
Requirements and Qualifications
Essential Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to function independently and manage own time and work tasks

- Healthcare experience
