Job Description: Customer Service Representative I – Remote or Hybrid

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Customer Service Representative I to join our team. As a Customer Service Representative I, you will be responsible for processing customer transactions, researching and resolving customer inquiries, and providing excellent customer service to BankUnited customers. This is a hybrid schedule position for residents in Miami-Dade and Broward County, reporting to our Doral, FL office location. We will also consider fully remote candidates outside of South Florida.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process customer transactions and research and resolve customer inquiries using BankUnited's customer service applications
  • Provide excellent customer service to BankUnited customers, handling calls and customer contact within established guidelines
  • Maintain call productivity and quality scores well above minimum standards
  • Acquire, demonstrate, and utilize knowledge of Retail, Online banking, Mortgage, and Business product expertise
  • Furnish prompt, efficient, and accurate service while servicing customer inquiries
  • Demonstrate excellent communication and active listening skills
  • Ensure that the company's customers receive an exceptional level of service, meeting established guidelines and SLA's
  • Handle customer inquiries efficiently and effectively, demonstrating abilities to cross-sell financial services and products

Essential Qualifications:

  • HS Diploma or equivalent required
  • 0-3 Years of Call Center experience, retail banking products, and/or Residential Loans experience preferred
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet productivity and quality standards
  • Basic computer skills and knowledge of banking systems and software

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in a customer-facing role, preferably in a banking or financial services environment
  • Knowledge of banking products and services, including Retail, Online banking, Mortgage, and Business products
  • Experience with customer service software and applications
  • Bilingual skills (Spanish or other languages)
