Job Overview
As a Field Clinical Educator at CenterWell Home Health, you will play a critical role in the development and growth of our clinicians, providing guidance, support, and education to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to deliver high-quality patient care. You will be responsible for teaching, mentoring, and coaching clinicians, as well as evaluating their performance and providing feedback to help them improve. Key Responsibilities
- Teach, mentor, and coach clinicians to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to deliver high-quality patient care
- Demonstrate competence in the performance of clinical skills, including admission of patients, assessment, and development of care plans, case management, coordination of care, and other clinical care duties
- Coordinate and oversee the work of new hires and other patient-facing clinicians in the classroom and field environment
- Model regulatory compliance and standards, ensuring that all clinicians understand and adhere to relevant laws and regulations
- Provide oversight and education to ensure effective collaboration with healthcare providers in accordance with physician's orders and plan of care
- Act as a liaison and maintain communication with new hires, leadership, peer mentors, and the Home Health Learning & Development team
- Ensure the execution of the orientation experience, including the use of the orientation toolkit, competency assessments, and state-specific requirements as needed
- Continually work to create a culture of learning and support for clinicians, providing feedback and guidance to help them gain confidence and competence in their roles
Essential Qualifications
- Diploma or Associate's degree in Nursing, with a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Nursing preferred
- Experience in home health care, with HCHB experience and OASIS certification preferred
- Prior nurse leadership or educator experience, with a strong understanding of adult learning principles and the ability to create a nurturing and supportive environment conducive to learning
- Unrestricted RN license in the state of Arizona, with current CPR certification
- Demonstrated strong leadership skills, with the ability to function with minimal supervision and make sound decisions
- Effective communication, interpersonal, and teaching skills, with the ability to assess the learning needs and skills of new clinicians and provide immediate and ongoing feedback
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Nursing or a related field, with a focus on education or leadership
- Experience in a similar role, with a proven track record of success in educating and developing clinicians
- Strong knowledge of healthcare laws and regulations, including state and local specific requirements
- Competence in the delivery of patient care consistent with evidence-based practice and regulatory requirements
- Demonstrated proficiency in OASIS accuracy, with a strong understanding of the importance of accurate documentation in home health care
