We are seeking an experienced Senior Facility Engineer to join our team at the Wells Fargo Center in Springfield, USA. As a Senior Facility Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our server farm and data center facilities. You will be responsible for leading and supporting various projects and initiatives related to building infrastructure technology, including electrical, mechanical, and HVAC systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 24/7 server farm coherence of administration to ensure continuous operation of our data center facilities
- Lead or participate in project management to ensure consistency and documentation for upgrades and alterations to building infrastructure technology
- Contribute to long-term planning related to building infrastructure technology
- Review and analyze complex applications, functionality, and technical challenges that require in-depth assessment of variable elements
- Independently resolve moderately complex issues
- Lead teams to meet functional area/project/process expectations while utilizing strong understanding of facility, solutions, techniques, or potentially consistent requirements
- Collaborate and communicate with peers, partners, and mid-level managers to resolve issues and achieve objectives
- Potentially lead projects, teams, or act as a coach for junior staff
Essential Qualifications:
- 4+ years of office engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- Broad knowledge of basic office concepts, disciplines, best practices, and systems
- Broad knowledge of building systems, automation, and infrastructure
- Broad knowledge of compliance, audit, building controls, and security protocols
Preferred Qualifications:
- 4+ years of corporate properties and facilities management experience
- 4+ years of executive or leadership experience
- Data center engineering design and operational leadership experience highly preferred
- Broad experience with property management coordination with multiple properties
- Experience managing large-scale data center projects (50,000+ sq. ft. computer environments)
- Wide knowledge of critical office concepts, disciplines, best practices, and systems
- Strategic view and creative focus on Critical Office's service delivery practices
- Knowledge and comprehension of data center: critical facilities systems: electrical, mechanical, and HVAC systems
Skills and Competencies:
- Ability to take on a high level of responsibility, drive, and accountability
- Ability to work with integrity and a high level of professionalism with all levels of colleagues and executives
- Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing abilities
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
- Clear understanding of indoor air quality, OSHA, NFPA, EPA, local and national codes, and requirements
- Knowledge of sustainability and energy management principles as well as asset life cycle management disciplines
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities
- Experience working with Property Managers, Project Managers, CPG Properties authority, and other lines of business
- Ability to demonstrate a capability in understanding and interpreting office blueprints as well as electrical and mechanical single-line drawings
