About This Opportunity

Wells Fargo is seeking part-time Tellers (20 hours per week) in Consumer and Small Business Banking as part of our Branch Banking team at the Lords Park Area in Springfield, VA. As a Teller, you'll be an integral part of the local community, providing financial support to residents, employees, and local businesses. Key Responsibilities:

  • Support client engagement by handling teller transactions, sharing digital solutions, and making referrals to Wells Fargo products and services.
  • Complete functional activities while minimizing risks under established policies and procedures.
  • Perform routine transactional, functional, and client service tasks efficiently through knowledge of bank systems and products, as well as collaboration with colleagues across the organization.
  • Receive guidance from supervisors and exercise judgment within defined policies and procedures.
  • Escalate questions and issues to more experienced roles as needed.
  • Interact with clients and individuals to demonstrate care, build relationships, and complete requested transactions.
  • Identify products and services to meet clients' financial needs.

Essential Qualifications:

  • 1+ year of experience interacting with clients, or equivalent demonstrated through a combination of work experience, training, military experience, or education.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Customer service experience with a focus on handling complex transactions across multiple systems.
  • Ability to educate and connect clients to technology and offer the value of mobile banking options.
  • Capacity to interact with integrity and professionalism with clients and colleagues.
  • Experience working with others in a team environment to address client needs.
  • Cash handling experience.
  • Ability to follow policies, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Capacity to identify potential fraud/unsafe accounts and take appropriate action to prevent loss.
  • Efficient, independent, and able to focus in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to exercise judgment, raise questions to management, and comply with policy guidelines.
  • Significant military experience, including working for personnel benefits management, handling military staff requests or loans, wartime availability operations, HR, or military recruiting.
  • Capable of proactively obtaining, securing, assembling, and maintaining relationships with clients and partners.
