About the Role: Key Responsibilities
As a Data Entry Specialist and Pharmacy Technician at Walgreens, your primary responsibilities will include:
- Assisting pharmacists in the practice of pharmacy, adhering to state, federal, and company policies.
- Utilizing pharmacy systems to retrieve patient and drug information and process prescriptions accurately.
- Providing exceptional customer service, resolving customer issues, and answering inquiries.
- Modeling and sharing customer service best practices with team members to ensure a unique and delightful customer experience.
- Developing strong relationships with key customers through effective communication and engagement.
- Performing duties assigned by the Pharmacy Manager, Staff Pharmacist, and Store Manager, such as entering patient and drug information, filling prescriptions, and maintaining workflow.
- Reporting prescription errors to the pharmacist on duty and adhering to company policies and procedures.
- Handling cash register operations, processing transactions, and maintaining accuracy.
- Assisting with stock management activities, including ordering, unpacking, and storing prescription drugs.
- Supporting the Pharmacy team in coordination with healthcare clinics and external vendors.
- Maintaining a clean, neat, and orderly pharmacy department.
Essential and Preferred Qualifications
To be considered for this role, you must:
- Be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).
Preferred qualifications include:
- Six months of experience in a retail environment.
- Previous work experience with Walgreens.
- Desirable math skills, including counting, measuring, and weighing medicines.
- Proficient computer skills.
- Knowledge of store inventory management.
- PC Certification (Pharmacy Technician Certification).
