About the Role

As a Senior Data Analyst with Disney's Immediate to Purchaser Item and Tech Examination team, you will play a critical role in supporting the business through estimation, investigation, and knowledge generation for trade and development item surface regions. You will be responsible for analyzing complex data sets, identifying trends and patterns, and developing recommendations to improve business performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assemble investigations, data visualizations, and multi-functional reporting that offers critical support to operations and decision-making for sign-up and trade item spaces.
  • Answer core business questions and provide insightful expertise on various trade streams on D+ and Hulu to improve the client experience and increase conversions.
  • Advance the analytical capabilities of the business, collaborate in the design of diagnostic solutions, and deliver exceptional data insights and products.
  • Utilize data visualization tools, SQL, and scripting languages to access and analyze structured and unstructured data.
  • Apply descriptive and inferential statistics (t-test, chi-square, ANOVA, correlation, Regression, Factor Analysis, etc.) to understand partner behaviors/values and drive business impact.

Essential Qualifications

To be considered for this exciting opportunity, you must possess:

  • A Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field (e.g., mathematics, statistics, computer science, or economics).
  • 3+ years of professional experience as an analyst in a data and analytics space with strong SQL, Python, or R skills for complex querying, advanced analytics, performance optimization, and working with data at scale.
  • Demonstrated data visualization skills with tools like Matplotlib, Tableau, Looker, MicroStrategy, Plotly, etc.
  • Experience delivering end-to-end analytics projects: taking them from ambiguous requirements to a successful narrative, accessible across multiple audiences, and ultimately to a tangible business outcome.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal (written and oral) skills, with the ability to build strong working relationships with colleagues, peers, and technical partners, and present to senior leadership.

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications are highly desirable:

  • A Master's degree in a quantitative field.
  • Knowledge of marketing landing pages, join pipe, and trade spaces.
  • Ability to identify and appropriately escalate issues to leadership.
  • Consulting background, MBA, or other cross-industry experience.
  • Strong motivation and ability to work independently.
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
  • A sense of humor and unique interests or hobbies that influence how you interact with others and approach your work.
