As a Data Entry Support worker, you will play a critical role in ensuring accurate record-keeping, data organization, and compliance with regulatory requirements.

Primary Responsibilities

As a Data Entry Clerk for Adult Education, you will be responsible for a range of clerical and data entry tasks that are critical to the success of our Adult Education office. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing Multiple Databases: Ensuring accurate record-keeping and data organization by managing multiple databases, performing regular error checks, and data clean-up.
  • Grant Data Entry: Accurately entering required grant data into NRS to meet monthly, quarterly, and year-end deadlines.
  • Maintaining Records and Security: Maintaining appropriate records, following required procedures and practices for attendance and assessment data, and ensuring the security of student data in compliance with FERPA.
  • Data Accessibility: Ensuring data is accessible in a timely manner to staff and other stakeholders.
  • Task Organization and Prioritization: Organizing and prioritizing tasks to meet all local, state, and program deadlines.
  • Student Outcomes Monitoring: Monitoring and evaluating student outcomes, including pre/post testing with state-mandated assessments.
  • Administrative Tasks: Performing various administrative tasks such as scanning documents, labeling items, inventorying supplies, basic word processing, organizing digital files and materials, preparing mailings, and assisting with filing.
  • Staff Meetings and Professional Development: Participating in staff meetings and professional development opportunities to stay updated on best practices and industry developments.
  • Other Assignments: Undertaking other assignments as required by management.

Qualifications and Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to meet the following qualifications and requirements:

Essential Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED: A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • MS Office Software Knowledge: Knowledge of standard office practices and procedures, with a particular emphasis on MS Office Software.
  • Excel Knowledge: Proficiency in Excel is essential for data entry and management tasks.
  • Organizational and Communication Skills: The ability to plan, organize, and prioritize work effectively, communicate effectively, and work cooperatively with others.
  • Accuracy and Efficiency: The ability to perform office work quickly and efficiently while maintaining accuracy.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in Data Entry or Administration: Previous experience in data entry or an administrative role is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with NRS and FERPA: Knowledge of NRS (National Reporting System) and FERPA (Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act) is an advantage.
  • Strong Analytical Skills: The ability to analyze data, identify errors, and implement corrective actions.
