Job Summary
As a Senior Compliance Analyst - Specialty Imports, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with U.S. Customs and Cooperating Government Organizations for all direct imports. You will provide expertise on U.S. import regulations, documentation, and consistency matters and regulatory areas for US imports. This role will report to the Sr. Director, Compliance and Ethics.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with U.S. Customs and Cooperating Government Organizations for all direct imports by assigning appropriate harmonized tariff code and duty percentage.
- Identify and assemble all required documentation to guarantee that all items are actually permissible into the US.
- Guarantee compliance with international customs and regulatory agencies.
- Develop, implement, and maintain relevant regulations to ensure proper application to affected items and purchase orders.
- Review proposed regulatory changes and existing regulations to serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) to the business.
- Provide guidance to vendors or international procurement to assist with accurate costing decisions.
- Collaborate with senior leaders in identifying compliance and ethics gaps and recommending and developing enhancements.
Requirements and Qualifications
Essential Qualifications:
- 3 years of experience in Information Analysis and Data Entry with a history of high completion rates on projects.
- 3 years of experience with Microsoft Office products, particularly Excel.
- 3 years of import experience.
- Familiarity with Harmonized Tariff Code.
