Job Summary
As a Data Analyst at Disney, you will play a critical role in supporting the Disney+ Product, Marketing, and Content Curation teams by analyzing and interpreting complex data sets to inform business decisions. You will work closely with senior leaders and cross-functional teams to design and implement data-driven solutions that drive business outcomes. Your primary responsibilities will focus on Disney+ Product and Customer Experience tracking projects, including collecting and analyzing data, developing reports, and providing insights to stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with a wide range of qualitative and quantitative research activities, including data collection, preparation, and analysis to build summaries, tables, and report segments.
- Integrate disparate data sets using SQL to aid in the daily operations of the Disney+ customer experience tracking project.
- Collaborate with various teams to conduct research at Disney, including communicating project objectives, business requirements, and timelines to efficiently prioritize, advance, and enhance our datasets.
- Develop and maintain relationships with research partners within the team and from other departments of the organization, as well as external vendors.
- Analyze and prepare ad-hoc and recurring reports using quantitative and qualitative data for various groups within the product marketing, engagement, and product strategy of Disney+ and the Disney Streaming Pack.
- Manage assigned projects, execute quality assurance cycles, and report tasks and status to manager(s) to ensure completion within established timeframes.
- Work with the Sr. Manager and team to ensure that each outcome is decisively significant and drives key decision-making.
- Collaborate with the team and analytics groups within Snowflake and Databricks.
- Maintain both exceptional verbal and written knowledge of data elements and requirements.
- Respond to critical data requests from internal clients.
- Support the display of findings based on research conducted and contribute to related business discussions.
Requirements and Qualifications
Essential Capabilities:
- Proficiency with SQL, with the ability to extract and join disparate data sources.
- Ability to extract data and join with various data sources to develop a rich, complete picture for the business.
- Strong quantitative reasoning and analytical skills.
- Ability to work quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and critical thinking skills, as well as the ability to create clear and concise visual presentations.
- Strong multitasking capabilities and the ability to work effectively in an environment of tight deadlines and constant change.
Preferred Capabilities:
- Proficiency in data processing tools (e.g., SPSS, Q, MarketSight).
- Experience with survey tools (e.g., Translate, Qualtrics, SurveyMonkey).
- Experience working with large datasets and big data technologies, ideally cloud-based, like Snowflake, Databricks, or similar.
- Knowledge of R, Python, SAS, STATA, or similar programming languages.
- Postgraduate education in Marketing Research or Statistics.
- Quantitative analysis background, either provider-side or client-side.
- Experience with analyzing survey data to extract meaningful insights.
- Experience with subscription-based business models and strategy.
