Job Summary

As a Customer Service Representative, you will provide exceptional customer service support for our Review Team, interacting with beneficiaries and providers via our helpline, creating and formatting letters, and maintaining timeliness. This position requires strong decision-making skills, particularly when handling complex appeals. If you have a passion for customer service, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently, we encourage you to apply.

Key Responsibilities

  • Interact with beneficiaries and providers via our helpline, responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Create, format, and proofread letters, ensuring accuracy and clarity.
  • Maintain timeliness and productivity, meeting or exceeding performance goals.
  • Foster effective working relationships with internal and external customers, including beneficiaries, providers, and team members.
  • Assist with and participate in Review Team activities, identifying areas for potential improvement and suggesting process enhancements.
  • Utilize internal quality control tools to assess individual work and team processes, making recommendations for improvement.
  • Provide intake for all appeals received by Arsenault, ensuring accurate and timely processing.
  • Proficiently use customer service guidelines and standards, applying them to resolve customer issues.

Essential Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; post-high school business courses helpful.
  • Medical terminology desired, but not required.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills, with a courteous and patient demeanor.
  • Good grammar, punctuation, spelling, hyphenation, and written communications skills.
  • Customer-focused, results-oriented, and capable of building and maintaining relationships with internal and external customers.
  • General knowledge of PC-based computer systems and software packages, with the ability to learn additional software packages as needed.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize assignments, with good organizational skills and the ability to work independently.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Two to three years of clerical experience, including word processing, various filing systems, and telephone customer service responsibilities.
  • Prior work in a healthcare setting or experience with medical terminology.
  • Previous data entry or other clerical experience.
