About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to join our team. As an Operations Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient daily operation of our office space and offices, as well as cross-functional work areas. You will be responsible for advancing operational capabilities, including development and execution of operational plans, crisis preparedness plans, and project management.

Key Responsibilities

* Direction and management of the daily aspects of the office, including but not limited to: + Answering and responding to messages on Amazon phones + Welcoming guests, opening and distributing mail, handling office requests, preparing bank deposits, organizing weekly bank runs to deposit funds, ensuring checks are bundled and delivered as quickly as possible * Work on universal maintenance, upgrades, and space planning to ensure optimal efficiency of the office. Act as primary contact for all office and building matters, including but not limited to: + Support issues, reviews, backup systems, procurement and inventory of equipment, furniture, office supplies, computers, and other technology * Act as primary manager for all common systems, including shared contacts, distribution records, cloud-based platforms like Monday.com, Adobe, Amazon Business, VoIP, Keeper Security, HR Data System, Zoom, and all connected written policies * Management of IT needs of the organization, including but not limited to: + Investigating and communicating with IT vendor for network support; ensuring IT meets industry standards; managing equipment and software needs, including installation; assessing technology activities according to established objectives; establishing IT policies and systems; working cooperatively with management and staff to ensure a productively working, innovative technical workplace; analyzing business requirements, overall, to determine their technology needs; assisting with planning future upgrades * Providing project direction to all new employees, including employee presentations, office visit, technology onboarding, sharing of systems and practices, and a review of Amazon's office activities to facilitate a welcoming onboarding process * Work with and offer strategic support for internal staff events, including the monthly Amazon Workforce meeting and weekly standup, and provides backup technical and strategic support for external events, meetings, and online courses as needed * Ensures the confidentiality of sensitive information both within and outside the organization * Works closely with the Delegate Manager on Amazon's risk management and compliance

Essential Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience * Familiarity with written and spoken English required * Proficient with a moderate level of capability; generally requires a four-year degree or as long as three years' experience or equivalent training

Preferred Qualifications and Experience

* Office management experience * Experience with change management, new software implementation, and systems development, execution, and maintenance * Experience working in a private company (25-35 staff) IT environment * Formal project management training * Successful candidates will prioritize an inclusive and comprehensive work environment, including but not limited to: racial equity, accessibility for people with disabilities, use of gender-inclusive language, and social awareness
