About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Full Stack Data Analyst to join our Disney Direct to Buyer group, which manages the Hulu and Disney+ streaming services within Disney Entertainment. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in driving business decisions and growth through data-driven insights and analysis. Key Responsibilities

  • Business Performance Reporting and Analysis: Be the primary partner for cross-functional stakeholders to understand the performance of the platform. When a metric is ahead or behind expectations, dive in to drive significant, actionable insights that help improve or double down on progress.
  • Reporting and Tooling Strategy: Lead the team in the development of meaningful and consistent metrics and reporting across streaming platforms.
  • BI Execution: Drive reporting for large-scale data. Act as a subject matter expert for stakeholders in the team and collaborate with Data Engineering and Design in designing and building performant ETLs, mediator tables, and beautiful and fast Tableau and Looker dashboards.
  • Creating a Single Source of Truth: Collaborate with our Operations team and unite analysts and stakeholders from across the team to define and normalize the metrics by which we evaluate product performance.
  • ETL and Metric Planning: Own measurement planning and creation by defining business requirements, structuring, and streamlining, and long-term data scalability.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Partner closely with business stakeholders to identify and understand what they need to drive decisions, and with other data teams to improve platform capabilities around data visualization, testing platforms, data representation, and data design.

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, MIS, Statistics, Finance, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • Ability to create data analysis and data visualization tools like Tableau, Looker, Chartio, etc.
  • 7+ years of analytical experience, preferably in data analysis.
  • Authority of SQL, some experience with SparkSQL, Hive, etc.
  • Significant experience with OLAP databases like Snowflake or Redshift.
  • Experience creating and maintaining enhanced tables for reporting through ETLs.
  • Project and resource management insight, illustrating goals, and timelines, and organizing work across multiple stakeholders.
  • Python/R or other statistical programming languages.
  • Extreme drive and enthusiasm for delivering outstanding results.
  • Strong relational skills, as well as written and verbal presentation skills and experience presenting to diverse audiences.

Compensation and BenefitsCompensation and Benefits

The base salary for this position is $136,100 to $182,400 per year in Santa Monica, CA, and $142,600 to $191,100 per year in New York, NY. The actual salary offered will consider internal equity and may vary based on the candidate's geographic location, work-related experience, skills, and qualifications among other factors. A bonus or long-term incentive units may be given as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of clinical, financial, or potentially other benefits, subject to the level and position advertised.
