About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Data Scientist to join our team as an Information Researcher – Product. As a key member of our research team, you will be responsible for providing quantitative analysis, market insights, and strategic recommendations to our partners across the organization. Your expertise in data analysis, statistical modeling, and data visualization will help us make informed decisions, drive business growth, and develop innovative products that meet the evolving needs of our users.

Key Responsibilities

  • Direct data analysis to inform business or product decisions, including identifying areas for cost savings, investment opportunities, and process improvements.
  • Develop and deliver compelling presentations of findings and recommendations to various levels of stakeholders, using visualizations to communicate complex quantitative data.
  • Create and automate reports, iteratively build and model dashboards to provide insights at scale, addressing scientific and business needs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners to understand their business needs, design and execute research studies that incorporate data collection, analysis, and presentation.
  • Support Google's focus on key decisions to improve products and services, leveraging data-driven insights to drive business outcomes.

Qualifications

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Data Scientist with a strong background in quantitative analysis, statistical modeling, and data visualization. The ideal candidate will have:

Essential Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field, such as Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or Engineering.
  • Experience working with large datasets, including data cleaning, preprocessing, and analysis.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as R, Python, or SQL, and experience with data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate complex ideas to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

  • A Master's or Ph.D. in a quantitative field, with a strong background in statistical modeling and data analysis.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality results under tight deadlines.
  • Strong business acumen, with the ability to translate data insights into actionable recommendations that drive business outcomes.
  • Experience with machine learning algorithms, natural language processing, or other advanced data analysis techniques.
