**Job Summary**
As an Eligibility Analyst at Aetna, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our data entry processes. You will be responsible for verifying enrollment status, updating client records, and addressing various types of feedback related to enrollment. Your attention to detail, analytical skills, and excellent communication abilities will enable you to resolve complex issues and provide exceptional customer service.
**Key Responsibilities**
* Verify enrollment status, update client records, and address various types of feedback related to enrollment
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date enrollment data sets and ensure the smooth transfer of qualification information
* Utilize online resources to understand account design and benefits, and assist in the development of such resources
* Respond to, research, and resolve qualification and enrollment-related issues, including client-specific data, by working directly with clients, vendors, and internal partners to achieve positive service outcomes
* Apply relevant considerations related to technical requirements, regulatory arrangements, account design, and benefit boundaries in addressing qualification matters
* Serve as the primary point of contact between clients, vendors, and the IT department, defining and identifying business needs and solutions for non-standard arrangements
* Ensure all transactions interface seamlessly with downstream systems; test and approve data documents for new or existing clients using system tools and track results to prevent potential issues and improve ongoing service issues
* Collaborate with other team members to facilitate the release of qualification, plan design, and benefit data
* Complete required setup of strategy and qualification screens to activate system processing of plan benefits
* Code system screens, strategy, and design to support downstream processes and the generation and delivery of Part and Plan Support items
* Ensure all communications with clients, external managers, and vendors, including sensitive client data, adhere to HIPAA compliance requirements
**Essential Capabilities**
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, demonstrating the ability to interact politely and professionally with both internal and external clients; skills include listening and empathy, constructive feedback, spelling, grammar, editing, and phone communication
* Proven ability to creatively solve problems and make enhancements
* Experience with Word, Excel, and Viewpoint
* Data entry insight
* Ability to identify goal/end state and work with minimal direction to meet that expectation/end state
* Capacity to manage multiple tasks and shifting priorities
* Ability to handle high work volume and direct multiple incoming work processes
* A team player able to work independently when required
* Convey accurate and timely results
* Follow up as necessary to resolve an issue successfully
**Preferred Capabilities**
* Past comparable experience is an asset
* Education: High school diploma, G.E.D., or equivalent experience
