Job Summary

The Customer Service and Claims Verification Specialist is responsible for communicating with various individuals involved in the claims process, including homeowners, adjusters, mortgage companies, and other stakeholders. This role requires a high level of empathy, attention to detail, and organizational skills to ensure timely and accurate resolution of claims. As a key member of the team, you will:

Primary Job Accountabilities/Responsibilities

  • Communicate with various individuals involved in the claims process, including homeowners, adjusters, mortgage companies, and other stakeholders, to handle property damage claim requirements.
  • Answer questions and respond to requests, inquiries, and complaints in a timely and professional manner.
  • Review and research claim information provided, make appropriate follow-up calls to resolve issues, and process claim checks following standard policies and procedures.
  • Ensure that internal and external standards are met on a consistent basis.
  • Efficiently and accurately enter information into company proprietary systems.

Essential Qualifications

* 1-2 years of experience in customer service, claims processing, or a related field * High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred * Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills * Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines * Strong attention to detail and organizational skills * Proficiency in Microsoft Office and proprietary systems

Preferred Qualifications

* Experience in the insurance industry or a related field * Certification in claims processing or customer service * Bilingual or multilingual skills * Experience working with claims management software
