Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders to understand data and reporting requirements (20% of time)
- Work with engineering teams to gather required data from internal and external systems (20% of time)
- Design table schema and define ETL pipelines to build performant data solutions that are reliable and scalable in a rapidly growing data ecosystem (20% of time)
- Develop data quality checks and implement data base optimizations using tools like Pattern Change (15% of time)
- Create and maintain ETL schedules using ETL and integration tools like Wind stream (10% of time)
- Perform ad-hoc analysis as needed and perform SQL and ETL tuning as required (5% of time)
Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
- 2+ years of relevant data engineering experience
- Solid understanding of data modeling principles, including layered modeling and data normalization principles
- Good comprehension of SQL engines and ability to lead advanced performance tuning
- Ability to think logically, analyze, and interpret market and customer data
- Strong interpersonal skills, including written and verbal presentations
- Excellent applied and analytical thinking skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and highly collaborative environment
- Knowledge of Agile Scrum principles and functions
Preferred Qualifications
While not essential, the following qualifications are highly desirable:
- 2+ years of experience implementing and managing business key performance indicators in data warehousing environments
- 2+ years of experience using analytical SQL, working with traditional relational databases or distributed systems (Snowflake or Redshift)

- 2+ years of experience with data integration/ETL tools (Wind stream, Nifi)
- Experience with Snowflake, Databricks/EMR/Flash, or Wind stream
