Wells Fargo, a leading financial services company with approximately $1.9 trillion in assets, is seeking an experienced IT Senior Auditor - Senior AVP to join its Enterprise Technology Audit Group (ETAG). As a key member of the IT Governance & Function Team, you will play a critical role in providing independent testing and audit coverage of Technology globally, ensuring the company's risk management and compliance-driven culture.
About the Role
The IT Senior Auditor - Senior AVP will be responsible for performing audit testing components of assigned audits within multiple segments of the Audit Plan. This includes planning and executing independent audit testing, identifying and assessing key risks and controls, and executing and documenting work in accordance with Wells Fargo Internal Audit policy.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform audit testing components of assigned audits within multiple segments of the Audit Plan, ensuring timely and accurate completion.
- Plan and execute independent audit testing, identifying and assessing key risks and controls.
- Execute and document work in accordance with Wells Fargo Internal Audit policy, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Identify and develop compensating controls that mitigate audit findings and make recommendations to management.
- Inform manager of situational issues that might compromise objectivity or independence.
- Design and execute tests to verify control effectiveness, demonstrating professional skepticism.
- Document work papers according to the standards of the Internal Audit policy and guidance.
- Develop ways to improve existing audit practices and participate in projects as directed.
- Develop effective test plans for engagements as assigned with limited guidance.
- Foster business partnerships within Internal Audit and with teams companywide through professional communication and clear audit deliverables.
Required Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you must have:
- 4+ years of Audit, Risk experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education.
- A strong understanding of audit or risk methodologies and supporting tools.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- The ability to execute in a fast-paced, high-demand environment while balancing multiple priorities.
- Good analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.
Desired Qualifications
To stand out as a candidate, you should have:
- Experience at a large financial institution or Big 4 accounting firm.
- Audit experience within one of the following areas: Information security, IT governance, risk management, or application security.
- A BS/BA degree or higher.
- Certification in one or more of the following: CPA, CAMS, CRCM, CIA, CISA, or Commissioned Bank Examiner designation.
