About the Role

The Creation Specialist Boss will play a crucial role in driving the success of our manufacturing operations. This position requires a strong and diverse skillset, including experience in manufacturing, leadership, and project management. Key Responsibilities

• Leadership and Team Management: Clearly define expectations for the manufacturing professional group and work on overall quality and craftsmanship. Organize the documentation coming from various engineering departments into the group, and strive to improve the knowledge and skills of the professionals in the group.
• Project Management: Focus on streamlining the project management process for team efficiency and overall effectiveness. Supervise projects from conceptualization and proposal through completion, and work with engineers from other cross-functional groups to distribute work to the specialists under your watch.
• Hardware/Part Improvement: Develop standards compliance measures for manufacturing and inspection capability processes. Pursue identifying best practices and process improvements, while working with different offices on updating and maintaining standards for all manufacturing processes and areas.
• HR-Related Management: Support timecards, PTO, and manage plans. Create and maintain performance metrics, and provide useful feedback to subordinates.
• Safety and Compliance: See all safety arrangements during the execution of required tasks, and work with and around hazardous areas and dangerous chemicals and materials.

Essential Qualifications

• School/technical daily schedule work experience, with Gigafactory experience strongly preferred
• Leadership experience, with a proven track record of managing teams and driving results
• Manufacturing insight, with welding certs preferred
• Experience choosing and growing new colleagues, with a strong ability to interpret mechanical design drawings and machining prints
• Uplifting outlook, energy to learn, multitask, and adapt to change

Preferred Qualifications

• Relevant recorded training or certificates, such as metallurgy or manufacturing processes
• Experience in process improvement and equipment installation, startup, and commissioning
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and maintain confidentiality
