Job Synopsis

In this role, you will be an integral part of a cross-functional team comprising Product Managers, Designers, Mobile/Web/Backend Engineers, and Content Creators. Your primary responsibility will be to design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and improve software solutions for the ESPN tvOS application using Swift. You will work closely with other engineers to identify and resolve issues, optimize application code, and develop new features that meet the highest standards of quality and performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Investigate and resolve issues, bugs, and errors experienced across the ESPN tvOS application, ensuring timely and effective solutions.
  • Analyze and optimize application code for efficiency, reliability, and performance, staying up-to-date with the latest best practices and technologies.
  • Design, develop, test, and deliver new application features, working collaboratively with the team to ensure seamless integration and high-quality outcomes.

  • Experience working on a large customer application that is currently available in the marketplace, with a deep understanding of the development lifecycle and App Store compliance policies.
  • Solid comprehension of Object-Oriented (OO) and Swift design patterns and concepts, with the ability to apply these principles in practical scenarios.
  • A sound understanding of HTTP and REST-style web services, with experience integrating these technologies into iOS/tvOS applications.
  • Demonstrated ability to design and build dynamic, multi-threaded iOS/tvOS applications that meet the highest standards of performance and reliability.
  • Experience with Apple frameworks such as UIKit, AVFoundation, Security, and StoreKit, with a willingness to stay up-to-date with the latest developments and advancements.
