Key Responsibilities

  • Handle inbound calls and make outbound calls to patients, healthcare providers, and insurance carriers to resolve medical benefits-related issues.
  • Conduct thorough medical benefits investigations to determine patient eligibility and coverage.
  • Utilize computer skills for accurate and efficient data entry, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Gather and review patient billing and medical information to facilitate informed decision-making.
  • Operate in accordance with Federal Health Care Program guidelines, adhering to the highest standards of compliance and ethics.
  • Collaborate with carriers to ensure coverage of medication on behalf of patients, resolving issues and negotiating resolutions as needed.

Essential Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • At least 1 year of experience in medical benefits (previous experience in a medical call center is a plus but not required).
  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Residency in the state of Kentucky or surrounding cities.
  • The ability to multitask and use dual monitors effectively.
  • A positive and supportive attitude, with a willingness to help others.

Preferred Qualifications

While not mandatory, the following skills and experience will be considered a plus:

  • Previous experience working in a medical call center environment.
  • Familiarity with pharmaceutical industry operations and regulations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
