The Field Sales Account Manager Role: Driving Business Growth and Customer Engagement
As a Field Sales Account Manager at Swire Coca-Cola, you'll play a critical role in driving business growth and customer engagement. You'll be responsible for promoting the growth and development of Coca-Cola and its allied products by building trust with customers, executing promotional activities, and ensuring that accounts are merchandised in accordance with company standards and the store Customer Marketing Agreement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Interact and build rapport with decision-makers in each customer location to understand their needs and preferences
- Place orders for product to be delivered, maintaining inventory levels for consumer purchase and ensuring that customers have the products they need
- Ensure customer beverage sections, displays, coolers, and all points of availability are properly stocked, maintained, and rotated to maximize sales and visibility
- Sell new and promotional items and make plans for floor and cooler space with store decision-makers to drive sales revenue and customer engagement
- Sell yearly Customer Marketing Agreements and ensure agreements are followed throughout the year to maintain strong customer relationships
- Interact with Delivery Merchandisers to ensure that accounts are restocked and displays are built in alignment with company standards and agreements with store decision-makers
- Organize and arrange for pickup/credit of product unfit for sale, ensuring that expired or damaged product is not sold to consumers
- Attend meetings as assigned and assist with special projects and events to support business objectives and customer engagement
- Achieve volume targets for channel of business and performance profit targets to drive business growth and revenue
- Manage and control expense budgets (human capital, products, waste, and breakage) to optimize business performance and minimize costs
Requirements and Qualifications:
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
- A High School Diploma (or GED) or equivalent degree/certificate
- A valid ARIZONA driver's license and a reliable vehicle to travel to stores within your routes, with business use vehicle insurance
- A driving record that meets Swire's vehicle policy requirements
- Experience in sales/retail, preferably in the beverage, food, or equivalent industry
- A self-motivated and goal-oriented attitude, with a proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth
- Experience working with vendors and previous experience in a leadership role
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook, with the ability to operate these applications on iPhone and iPad devices
- The ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work weekends and holidays as directed by the business
Preferred Qualifications:
While not required, the following qualifications can give you a competitive edge:
- Experience in merchandising or product delivery, with a focus on expiration dates and product rotation
- A proven track record of success in sales and customer engagement, with a strong understanding of the beverage industry
- Previous experience in a leadership role, with a demonstrated ability to motivate and inspire teams
