Job Summary

As a Senior Systems Analyst - Data Access Management, you will work closely with various stakeholders to analyze, design, implement, test, and maintain robust data access management processes and systems. You will ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry best practices, and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders. This is a full-time position located in Tennessee, USA, with a competitive salary of $20-$30 per hour.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze Data Access Requirements: Work with business partners, data owners, and IT teams to understand data access requirements and determine appropriate access controls, user roles, and permissions needed to protect sensitive data.
  • Design Data Access Control Systems: Develop and design data access control systems, including access control policies, data channels, and access frameworks.
  • Implement Access Control Mechanisms: Configure and deploy access control mechanisms such as role-based access control (RBAC), attribute-based access control (ABAC), and other access control models to enforce policies and restrict data access.
  • Data Access Management: Establish and maintain data access management processes, including access request workflow, access certification, and regular access reviews to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
  • Data Access Testing Strategy: Work with stakeholders, including business users, data owners, and IT teams, to define the data access testing strategy and objectives. Align testing activities with regulatory requirements, industry best practices, and organizational policies.
  • Test Planning and Design: Create test plans and scenarios to assess the effectiveness of data access control. Define test objectives, data sets, expected results, and success criteria. Ensure that testing activities cover various access points such as databases, applications, and network infrastructure.
  • Access Control Audit: Conduct regular audits and evaluations of access controls to identify any vulnerabilities or unauthorized access attempts. Work with the IT security team to mitigate identified risks and implement appropriate countermeasures.
  • Collaboration with IT Teams: Work closely with IT teams, including database administrators, system administrators, and security analysts, to implement and enforce data access controls at various technology layers such as databases, applications, and network infrastructure.
  • Documentation and Training: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including data access control policies, procedures, and user guides. Conduct training for employees on data access management practices and policies.
  • Stay Abreast of Industry Trends: Keep up with industry trends, new technologies, and regulatory changes related to data access management. Design and implement improvements to existing processes and systems to adapt to changing requirements.

Qualifications

Essential Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field, such as computer science, information technology, or information assurance.
  • Experience: Demonstrated experience as a systems analyst or similar role with a focus on data access control and information security.
  • Technical Skills: Deep knowledge of data access control frameworks, methods, and technologies. Familiarity with access control models like RBAC, ABAC, etc. Good knowledge of database management systems, network protocols, and system architectures.
  • Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to evaluate complex systems and identify security risks.
  • Communication Skills: Strong communication skills to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Scripting or Programming Languages: Knowledge of scripting or programming languages (e.g., SQL, Python) for data analysis and automation tasks.
  • Certifications: Relevant certifications in information security, data access management, or a related field.
  • Experience with Cloud-Based Systems: Experience working with cloud-based systems and technologies.
