Key Responsibilities
- Assist AMTs in technical and non-technical functions related to aircraft interiors and other areas as needed
- Perform work activities in accordance with established laws, regulations, standards, safety protocols, and procedures to ensure safety of self and others
- Conduct inspections to locate damage, defects, or wear that may affect safety, reliability, or customer experience, reporting issues as appropriate
- Test machinery, mechanical equipment, components, and parts for defects to ensure proper functioning
- Install, remove, or modify aircraft structures, systems, or components, following drawings, schematics, charts, engineering orders, and technical publications
- Repair worn, defective, or damaged parts or components using hand tools, gauges, and testing equipment
- Read and interpret technical manuals and guidelines to perform inspections, installations, repairs, or other work activities
- Interpret and use specifications, drawings, blueprints, diagrams, schematics, or flow charts to determine operational methods or sequences and complete work activities
- Research manuals, flight logs, or other technical resources to gather information needed to complete work activities
- Practice safety-conscious behaviors in all operational processes and procedures
Essential Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a 147 Accredited school partnered with Delta Air Lines
- In last semester of completion for FAA Airframe and Powerplant certificate program
- Successfully completed the General Knowledge exam and either the Airframe or Powerplant Knowledge exam
- High school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency
- At least 18 years of age with authorization to work in the United States
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to read and write English and comprehend and apply information contained in technical manuals
Preferred Qualifications
While not required, the following qualifications will be considered advantageous:
- Prior experience in aircraft maintenance or a related field
- Familiarity with aircraft systems and components
- Experience working with technical manuals and guidelines
