Key Responsibilities

• Assist AMTs in technical and non-technical functions related to aircraft interiors and other areas as needed
• Perform work activities in accordance with established laws, regulations, standards, safety protocols, and procedures to ensure safety of self and others
• Conduct inspections to locate damage, defects, or wear that may affect safety, reliability, or customer experience, reporting issues as appropriate
• Test machinery, mechanical equipment, components, and parts for defects to ensure proper functioning
• Install, remove, or modify aircraft structures, systems, or components, following drawings, schematics, charts, engineering orders, and technical publications
• Repair worn, defective, or damaged parts or components using hand tools, gauges, and testing equipment
• Read and interpret technical manuals and guidelines to perform inspections, installations, repairs, or other work activities
• Interpret and use specifications, drawings, blueprints, diagrams, schematics, or flow charts to determine operational methods or sequences and complete work activities
• Research manuals, flight logs, or other technical resources to gather information needed to complete work activities
• Practice safety-conscious behaviors in all operational processes and procedures

Essential Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a 147 Accredited school partnered with Delta Air Lines
• In last semester of completion for FAA Airframe and Powerplant certificate program
• Successfully completed the General Knowledge exam and either the Airframe or Powerplant Knowledge exam
• High school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency
• At least 18 years of age with authorization to work in the United States
• Valid driver's license
• Ability to read and write English and comprehend and apply information contained in technical manuals

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications will be considered advantageous:

• Prior experience in aircraft maintenance or a related field
• Familiarity with aircraft systems and components
• Experience working with technical manuals and guidelines
