Job Summary

We're seeking an experienced Associate HR Business Partner to join our team. As an HR Business Partner, you'll play a critical role in driving business outcomes by providing strategic HR support to our people managers and leaders. You'll be responsible for building and maintaining excellent relationships with people managers, supporting performance management, employee relations, and day-to-day organization of teams and departments. Key Responsibilities

  • Relationship Building: Build and maintain excellent relationships with people managers across the company, having a collaborative and proactive approach to solving people issues.
  • Performance Management: Support and coach managers to provide engaging leadership and drive high performance, facilitating the development of current teams and managers.
  • HR Administrative Tasks: Manage HR administrative tasks across all departments at Underdog, including maintaining employee records, handling HR documentation, and ensuring compliance with company policies.
  • Employee Relations: Act as a trusted advisor on HR-related matters, promoting a positive and inclusive workplace culture and addressing employee concerns.
  • Change Management: Collaborate with leaders across the business to address tactical challenges and support change management initiatives.
  • Learning and Development: Facilitate the development of current teams and managers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth.

Requirements

Essential Qualifications:

  • HR Experience: 5+ years of experience in an HR role, preferably in a fast-paced, tech environment.
  • Communication Skills: Impeccable communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships and trust at all levels of an organization.
  • HR Best Practices: Strong understanding of HR best practices and employment laws.
  • Independence: Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Sports Industry Knowledge: Passion for sports and knowledge of the industry is a plus.
  • Mid-Sized Organization Experience: Experience from mid-sized organizations, adapting best practices to our dynamic environment.

  • Competitive Salary: Our target starting base salary range for this position is between $100,000 and $140,000, plus target equity.
