About the Role
As a Product Solutions Engineer, you'll be responsible for providing top-notch client care, advanced troubleshooting, and resolving complex issues and bugs from internal teams and Google advertisers. You'll work closely with cross-functional partners, including Business, Engineering, and Product teams, to build automation frameworks and processes that identify and prevent product messes/issues. Your expertise will help drive the development of tools that enable the troubleshooting of client issues and inquiries, and you'll collaborate with Engineering teams on Foundation launches, updates, and migrations.
Key Responsibilities
- Research and deliver exceptional client care, advanced troubleshooting, and resolving complex issues and bugs from internal teams and Google advertisers.
- Understand the evolving AI-powered nature of the Google Ads ecosystem and communicate the ML model language to our internal and external clients.
- Engage with cross-functional partners to build automation frameworks and processes that identify and prevent product messes/issues.
- Model and develop tools to enable the troubleshooting of client issues and inquiries, and facilitate the troubleshooting of standard use cases.
- Collaborate with Engineering teams on Foundation launches, updates, and migrations.
Essential Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
- A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field.
- At least 4 years of certification or identical viable experience.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience with coding in a general-purpose programming language (e.g., Java, C/C++, Python), working with web technologies (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript, HTTP, Networks), or performing data analysis and visualization using SQL-like query languages.
Preferred Qualifications
To stand out from the crowd, you'll ideally have:
- Experience in system design/API, programming languages including data structures and algorithms, and machine learning fundamentals.
- Experience working with Google's advertising ecosystem and e-commerce products.
- Understanding of backend system concepts (e.g., cache, memory management), mobile application operating systems, and mobile application data analysis.
- The ability to interpret data to influence across cross-functional partners in gTech and Engineering associations, and communicate technical issues to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- The capacity to analyze and troubleshoot labeling issues on websites using developer tools (e.g., Chrome DevTools).
