Job Overview and Responsibilities

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Customer Service Representative to join our team as a Sr. Advisor I, Customer Service. In this role, you will be responsible for providing top-notch technical support and customer service to our clients via inbound and outbound calls, emails, or through the Internet. Your primary goal will be to resolve non-standard and escalated customer issues in a professional, courteous, and timely manner, ensuring that our clients receive the highest level of service and support.

  • Utilize problem-solving skills, in conjunction with tools and resources, to resolve complex and escalated customer issues
  • Answer questions independently, using decision-support tools and handling escalated calls from other customer support associates
  • Ensure that the service delivered to our customers meets contractual Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and exceeds their expectations
  • Greet customers in a friendly, professional, and courteous manner, using agreed-upon procedures and maximizing opportunities to build rapport
  • Listen attentively to customer needs and concerns, demonstrating empathy and clarifying requirements to provide effective solutions
  • Solve problems or offer solutions that are generally unstructured and require extensive clarification, using strong analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of client products and/or services, staying up-to-date with the latest developments and updates
  • Prepare complete and accurate work, including notating accounts as required, and participate in activities designed to improve customer satisfaction and business performance
  • Offer additional products and/or services, as applicable, and adhere to shift schedules, maintaining acceptable attendance and providing required notification of absence

Essential Qualifications and Skills

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

  • High school diploma with at least one year of customer service experience, preferably in a technical support or call center environment
  • Courteous and strong customer service orientation, with a passion for delivering exceptional service and creating memorable experiences
  • Strong computer navigation skills and PC knowledge, with the ability to learn and adapt to new systems and technologies quickly
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to articulate complex ideas and solutions in a clear and concise manner
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex issues and develop creative solutions
  • Dependable and proficient attention to detail, with strong organizational skills and the ability to juggle multiple tasks and adapt to changes quickly
  • Tolerance for repetitive work in a fast-paced, high-production work environment, with the ability to maintain a positive and professional attitude
  • Ability to work as a team member, as well as independently, with a strong sense of accountability and a willingness to mentor and support junior team members
