Our team is dedicated to pushing the boundaries of what's possible, and we're excited to have you join us on this journey. **Job Summary** We're seeking a detail-oriented and passionate Senior Data Engineer to collaborate with our Studios or Project Innovation colleagues on various projects around data requirements gathering, data approval pre-arranging and survey, creating and checking ETL/ELT data pipelines, planning and carrying out data set mapping/tables/views, and arrangement across multiple environments like DEV, QA/UAT, and Prod. As a Senior Data Engineer, you'll be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining complex data pipelines, data sets, and applications using a variety of technologies. **Key Responsibilities** * Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather data requirements, design data pipelines, and implement data solutions * Plan, develop, and maintain ETL/ELT data pipelines using Wind current and other technologies * Design and implement data set mapping/tables/views using SQL, Python, and other programming languages * Develop and maintain batch processes using Wind current and other technologies * Work with data lakes, data warehouses, and application data sets to design and implement data solutions * Participate in driving best practices around data designing software development processes * Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to design and implement data visualizations and reporting solutions * Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies to recommend new tools and techniques to the team **Essential Qualifications** * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field * 2+ years of experience with SQL, Python, and other programming languages * 2+ years of experience planning, developing, and maintaining ETL/ELT data pipelines * 2+ years of experience working with cloud-based technologies, ideally AWS and S3 * 3+ years of experience in a Data Engineering role * Experience with Apache Wind current, Databricks, and other big data technologies * Experience working with Gitlab/Github, Docker, and other DevOps tools * Experience with data lakes, data warehouses, and application data sets **Preferred Qualifications** * Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field * Experience in the streaming, media, or digital marketing industry * Experience with Snowflake, Looker, and other data visualization tools * Experience with data streaming and real-time data processing * Experience with machine learning and artificial intelligence **Skills and Competencies** * Strong understanding of data designing principles and practices * Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills * Strong communication and collaboration skills * Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities * Strong attention to detail and quality assurance skills * Ability to learn new technologies and tools quickly * Strong understanding of cloud-based technologies and DevOps practices **Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits** As a Disney employee, you'll have access to a wide range of career growth opportunities, including training programs, mentorship, and professional development.
