Job Summary
We're seeking an experienced Full Stack Software Engineer to join our team of talented professionals in Charlotte, USA. As a key member of our Designing Group within the Coordinated Tasks Division, you'll play a critical role in providing technical support for the maintenance and operation of aircraft and related equipment. Your expertise will help us stay ahead of the curve in terms of innovation, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
About the Role
This is a full-time, remote position that offers a competitive salary of $21/hour, plus a range of benefits and perks. As a Senior Engineer, you'll be responsible for providing technical support to various teams within the organization, including Maintenance and other carrier divisions. Your primary duties will include:
- Conducting training sessions for Specialists in areas of expertise
- Serving as a mentor to other Engineers
- Leading project teams or resolving issues as a group leader/facilitator
- Collaborating with manufacturers and regulatory specialists to ensure compliance with material standards and company manuals
- Developing customized methods and special procedures for repairs, modifications, inspections, and other maintenance activities
- Staying informed about daily carrier activities, including areas of responsibility
- Reviewing daily needs based on aircraft/departmental targets and management mandates
- Examining aircraft/part issues that may cause delays or cancellations, significant uses in labor or materials, or breaks in maintenance activities, and determining appropriate corrective actions
- Providing technical support as needed to restore aircraft or parts to a serviceable status
- Responding to requests from Maintenance and other carrier divisions when technical support is required to assist with tasks or resolve issues
- Developing activity plans for fleet/multi-fleet and part design projects and pursuing completion as per evaluated needs
- Collaborating with other airline divisions as needed to ensure effective and efficient execution of design standards
- Creating design documents to implement technical standards by providing customized methods for repairs, modifications, inspections, or other maintenance activities
- Staying up-to-date on current and future regulations that affect areas of responsibility and ensuring all design activities maintain compliance with applicable regulatory requirements
- Utilizing available resources to enhance levels of technical expertise and practical experience continuously
- Effectively engaging with front-line colleagues and management
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you'll need to possess the following qualifications and skills:
Essential Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a design field or related design certification
- 1 year of design experience in a related field or 2 years of experience without a degree
Desirable Qualifications
- A&P license
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other applications
- Ability to analyze technical information and make data-driven decisions
- Ability to prepare/present presentations that promote awareness of solutions
- Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external clients
