About the Role
As a B2B Customer Insights Senior Manager at Verizon, you will be responsible for uncovering and creating actionable insights that drive business strategies, inform product development, and fuel marketing initiatives. This role requires a unique blend of research expertise, business acumen, and communication skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders across the Business Group organization. You will serve as a trusted advisor, providing guidance on market trends, customer behavior, and competitive landscape, and ensuring that the customer's perspective is always at the forefront of decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and execute custom research studies to inform product development, marketing strategies, and business decisions, leveraging both qualitative and quantitative methodologies.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders across the Business Group organization, including marketing, product development, CX, and design teams, to align research initiatives with business objectives.
- Analyze complex data sets to identify trends, patterns, and insights, and translate findings into clear, actionable recommendations that drive business growth.
- Communicate research findings effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders through compelling data visualization and storytelling techniques.
- Advocate for the customer's perspective, ensuring that their needs and preferences are considered in decision-making processes across the organization.
- Contribute to the development of marketing and product strategies, identifying opportunities for growth, innovation, and competitive advantage.
- Demonstrate strong business acumen, leveraging data-driven insights to inform strategic decisions and drive business outcomes.
Essential Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you will need to possess a strong foundation in research methodologies, data analysis, and business acumen. The ideal candidate will have:
- A Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience, with a preference for candidates holding advanced degrees in Market Research, Social Sciences, or Business.
- Six or more years of relevant experience in B2B research, demonstrated through work experience, military service, or specialized training.
- Proven experience designing and executing quantitative market research studies with hard-to-reach business decision-makers.
- A track record of translating business needs and objectives into effective research designs and actionable insights.
- Strong analytical and data interpretation skills, with the ability to identify trends, patterns, and insights from complex data sets.
Preferred Qualifications
While not essential, the following qualifications will be considered a plus:
- An advanced degree in Market Research, Social Sciences, or Business, or a certification in Market Research (e.g., UGA).
- Experience conducting research with business decision-makers in the technology or telecoms category.
- A background working with or alongside market research agencies or related vendors, including experience managing vendor relationships.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate complex concepts into actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience with marketing communications across linear TV, mobile, digital, and social media platforms.
