As a key member of our remote team, you will provide exceptional customer service to our clients in the tourism industry, ensuring a seamless experience for their guests.

Job Overview: Key Responsibilities and Requirements

As a Booking & Activities Customer Support Representative, you will be the primary point of contact for our client's customers, providing efficient, effective, and empathetic support via phone, email, and social media channels. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Responding to customer inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner
  • Booking guests on boating excursions and managing schedules and tours in the back office and booking systems
  • Monitoring social media channels for customer support and feedback, and taking action when necessary
  • Working autonomously to resolve customer tickets and making decisions with confidence
  • Providing back-office support, including setting up schedules and tours, and managing various systems
  • Utilizing multiple Chrome tabs and software applications simultaneously to manage multiple tasks and timelines

Essential Qualifications and Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Experience with Fareharbor (a must)
  • Familiarity with Zendesk, Aircall, or Talkdesk, and Slack (a plus)
  • Strong active listening and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to use positive language to help customers and clients feel heard and supported
  • Stamina in problem-solving and maintaining a positive attitude, even on challenging days
  • Computer skills, including familiarity with multiple browsers, tabs, window navigations, and instant messaging tools
  • Fluency in oral and written English; second language is a plus
  • Dedicated and dependable work ethic
  • A quiet, distraction-free workspace with a direct Ethernet cable connection and strong Internet bandwidth (50 Mbps download speed and 5 Mbps upload or faster)

Preferred Qualifications and Skills

While not required, the following skills and experience will be considered a plus:

  • Experience with CRM systems and AI
  • Familiarity with multiple software applications and technology platforms
  • Previous experience in customer support or a related field

Compensation and Schedule

The starting hourly rate for this position is $16-19/hr, depending on living wage. The schedule for this seasonal, part-time opportunity is as follows:

  • March 2025: Fridays 4-6 p.m., Saturdays 2-6 p.m., and Sundays 2-6 p.m. (PACIFIC time)
  • April - October 2025: Fridays 3:30 - 7:30 p.m., Saturdays 11:30 a.m. - 7:30 p.m., and Sundays 11:30 a.m. - 7:30 p.m. (PACIFIC time)
