Role Overview: Bookkeeper for Small Business Accounting Firm
We're seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our team on a full-time basis. As a Bookkeeper, you'll play a critical role in managing the bookkeeping tasks for our diverse clientele, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with all relevant laws and regulations. Key Responsibilities
- Perform bookkeeping and accounting duties using QuickBooks Online and QuickBooks Desktop platforms, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
- Process payroll using ADP, Gusto, and QuickBooks payroll systems, ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
- Assist in preparing financial statements, bank reconciliations, and various tax filings, demonstrating a thorough understanding of accounting principles.
- Maintain a paperless work environment by leveraging technology, including QuickBooks and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Develop and maintain excellent verbal and written communication skills, ensuring effective collaboration with colleagues and clients.
Necessary Skills
To succeed in this role, you'll need to possess a combination of technical, business, and soft skills. These include:
- Proven bookkeeping experience with QuickBooks Desktop and QuickBooks Online, with a minimum of 4 years of experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with a strong focus on Excel and Word, and a minimum of 4 years of experience.
- Demonstrated expertise in leveraging technology for a paperless work environment, with a focus on efficiency and productivity.
- Understanding of organizational effectiveness and operations management, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to excellence.

Qualifications
To be considered for this role, you'll need to meet the following qualifications:
- Degree in Accounting, Business, Operations Management, or a related field, demonstrating a solid foundation in accounting principles.
- At least 4 years of experience in bookkeeping in a prior accounting firm, with a solid understanding of accounting principles and practices.
- Minimum 4 years of experience with QuickBooks and general accounting practices, with a focus on accuracy and compliance.
