About the Role: Building Automation Systems Specialist

We're seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our team as an Entry-Level Building Automation Systems Specialist. In this critical role, you'll play a key part in the installation, startup, and commissioning of building automation system equipment, ensuring that our systems meet the highest standards of performance, efficiency, and customer satisfaction. As the face of Siemens to our customers, you'll have a direct impact on their energy consumption, cost savings, and environmental sustainability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Commissioning and Installation: Commission new distributed digital control systems on construction sites within planned timelines, documenting commissioning details and communicating progress and deficiencies to stakeholders.
  • Collaboration and Planning: Plan work with Lead Technicians and Team Leaders to ensure seamless project execution and coordination.
  • Network Technologies: Assist with data backup from data servers, create automated backup procedures, and support troubleshooting and resolution of inconsistencies in system functions or sequence of operations.
  • Operational Testing and Verification: Run routine reports to review system operation, participate in final inspection and testing, and support customer acceptance and training on system operations.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Complete and submit routine written reports, providing plans and control system documents to engineering for as-built drawings.
  • Project Site Communication and Coordination: Support others in scheduling trade contractors, coordinate startup services, and submit accurate time and expense reports.
  • Safety and Compliance: Adhere to local, corporate, and OSHA safety policies and procedures, ensuring a safe working environment for yourself and others.
  • Flexibility and Adaptability: Work overtime when needed, rotational on-call, and minimal overnight travel, demonstrating flexibility and commitment to meeting project commitments.

Essential Qualifications:

  • 1+ year of experience installing and servicing electronic control or HVAC equipment.
  • Electro-mechanical experience and user PC/software skills, either through previous roles or education.
  • On-the-job experience reading, understanding, and interpreting design and construction documents.
  • Ability and willingness to work in various circumstances, including climbing ladders and working in confined spaces.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
  • Ability and willingness to work overtime as needed.
  • Must be 18 years of age and possess a valid driver's license with limited violations.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or state-recognized GED; Associate or Bachelor's degree in electronics, mechanical engineering, or a related field.
