Position Summary

We're seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Call Center Representative and Debt Counselor. In this role, you'll use a consultative approach to manage and collect delinquent accounts, helping consumers find the most suitable solutions to resolve their balances. If you're a positive, team-oriented problem solver with excellent communication skills, we encourage you to apply.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Obtain information from consumers to determine their current financial situation and identify potential solutions.
  • Provide tailored solutions to consumers to enable them to resolve their obligations administratively or voluntarily.
  • Gather and maintain proper documentation from consumers, ensuring appropriate follow-up.
  • Meet daily, weekly, and monthly performance goals as set by management.
  • Maintain high productivity levels, making between 125-200 phone calls per day in a fast-paced call center or remote work environment.
  • Achieve ConServe's monthly targeted performance objectives for collections.
  • Properly manage and update our system to maximize contacts and maintain accurate records.
  • Perform skip-tracing activities to assist in locating and contacting consumers or businesses.
  • Adhere to ConServe's Professional Practices Management System (PPMS), Code of Conduct, and Compliance Program.

Qualifications and Requirements

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • A High School Diploma or GED; an Associate's or Bachelor's Degree is preferred.
  • The ability to work flexible 8-hour shifts, including some evening shifts and occasional Saturday mornings.
  • Fluency in English, with strong verbal communication skills to listen, persuade, negotiate, and obtain resolution.
  • Intermediate computer skills to document calls and navigate software packages, databases, and the internet.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with attention to detail and the ability to act independently.
  • A motivation to learn and grow, with a positive and collaborative attitude towards coworkers.
  • The ability to maintain confidentiality and a high level of trustworthiness.
  • Legally eligible to work in the United States, with no conflicts of interest with ConServe or our clients.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain Government Security Clearance and State Collections Licensure.
