About the Role: Conflict Resolution for Teens Tutor

We're seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Conflict Resolution and Life Skills Educator to join our team of talented teachers. As a Conflict Resolution for Teens Tutor, you will have the opportunity to design and deliver engaging online classes that help teenagers develop essential life skills, including conflict resolution, communication, and emotional intelligence. This is a remote, contract position that offers a competitive hourly rate of $10.00 - $50.00 per hour, depending on your experience and qualifications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and teach online classes on conflict resolution and life skills for teenagers, using your expertise and passion to create engaging and interactive learning experiences
  • Develop and implement effective lesson plans, incorporating a variety of teaching methods and materials to cater to different learning styles
  • Create a safe, supportive, and inclusive online learning environment that encourages students to share their thoughts, feelings, and experiences
  • Provide feedback, guidance, and support to students, helping them to develop their conflict resolution and life skills, and achieve their learning goals
  • Communicate effectively with parents and guardians, keeping them informed about their child's progress and involving them in the learning process

Essential Qualifications:

  • You must be at least 18 years old and reside full-time in one of the following countries: United States, Mexico, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, South Korea, or the United Kingdom
  • You must have a reliable and fast Internet connection (over 3Mbps upload and download) and the technical know-how to effectively run online classes
  • You must have a good command of written and spoken English and be able to communicate effectively with students, parents, and the Outschool team
  • You must verify your identity and pass a criminal background check to ensure the safety and well-being of our students
  • You must have one or more areas of expertise or passion that you will base your classes around, and be able to demonstrate your knowledge and experience in conflict resolution and life skills education

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience teaching or working with teenagers, either online or in-person, and a deep understanding of their needs and challenges
  • A degree in education, psychology, sociology, or a related field, and a strong foundation in conflict resolution and life skills education
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues
  • Experience with online learning platforms and technology, and the ability to adapt to new tools and systems
  • A passion for creating engaging and interactive learning experiences, and a commitment to ongoing professional development and growth
