The Consumer Insight (CI) team is a key part of CIMA, and we are seeking an experienced Consumer Insight Manager to join our team.
Role Overview
The Consumer Insight Manager will play a critical role in driving business growth through data-driven decision making and strategic market research. As a key member of the CI team, you will be responsible for all phases of the market research process, including needs identification, project design and management, survey and discussion guide design, liaising with internal partners and external vendors, analysis, synthesis, and presentation of objective, clear, and actionable insights. Your expertise will support Disney Cruise Line, and you will have the opportunity to work on high-impact projects that drive business results.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, execute, manage, and leverage actionable consumer research using industry-leading tools, innovative techniques, and advanced methodologies
- Develop and maintain relationships with internal partners and stakeholders to identify business needs and provide strategic recommendations
- Conduct quantitative and qualitative research, including survey instrument development, online and in-person survey administration, and data analysis
- Partner with external research agencies to gain deeper understanding of market trends and stay up-to-date with industry developments
- Present findings and insights to internal stakeholders, including senior leadership, and influence business decisions through data-driven recommendations
- Manage multiple high-priority projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks and adjusting to changing priorities and evolving business issues
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate consumer insights into business strategies and drive growth
Essential Qualifications
To be considered for this role, you must have:
- Minimum 5 years of market research experience, with a proven track record of designing, executing, and managing research projects
- Experience with end-to-end research execution using a variety of quantitative and qualitative research methodologies
- Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to quickly identify and address business questions and needs
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex data into compelling presentations and written communications
- Strong analytical skills, including expertise with statistical packages (SAS, SPSS/PASW, R, Python) and data analysis software
- High proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, and Word, with the ability to manage and analyze large datasets
- Bachelor's degree in market research, marketing, statistics, sociology, psychology, business, economics, or a related field
Preferred Qualifications
Preferred candidates will have:
- Experience recruiting and moderating focus groups and individual interviews
- Experience partnering with and managing market research agencies
- Master's or doctoral degree in market research, social sciences, business, or a related field
- Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with the ability to adapt to changing priorities and evolving business issues
