Role Overview

As a Data Entry Coordinator - Workers Compensation Utilization Review, you will play a critical role in managing and interacting with clients and their staff on a daily basis. You will assist with issue resolution, receive and process referrals from providers and adjusters, and follow through with the review process until completion. This role requires attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and interact with clients and their staff on a daily basis, providing exceptional customer service and support.
  • Assist with issue resolution in a timely and efficient manner, ensuring that client needs are met and exceeded.
  • Receive, process, and enter referrals from providers and adjusters into proprietary software, following through with the review process until completion.
  • Obtain authorization from adjusters to proceed with the review for all provider referrals when required.
  • Assign UR requests to physician reviewers based on protocols and state guidelines.
  • Pay close attention to detail and respond to inquiries in a timely manner, either via telephone or email.
  • Maintain various logs and records, ensuring accuracy and adherence to protocol and best practices.
  • Participate in periodic, random QA reviews of work for accuracy and adherence to protocol and best practices.

Requirements and Qualifications

Essential Qualifications:

  • Experience: 3 years of experience in utilization review in workers' compensation.
  • Medical Terminology: 2 years of experience with medical terminology.
  • Microsoft Office: 3 years of experience with Microsoft Office applications.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with proprietary software systems.
  • Knowledge of workers' compensation regulations and guidelines.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
