Key Responsibilities
- Customer Service Excellence: Respond to customer inquiries and complaints in a prompt, courteous, and effective manner, ensuring timely resolution and building trust.
- Order Processing: Accurately process and input customer orders, ensuring seamless execution and follow-up.
- Inventory Management: Produce stock reports to check product availability and maintain accurate records.
- Shipping and Logistics: Coordinate special and last-minute shipping requests with the Traffic and Operations Departments, expediting orders as necessary.
- Interdepartmental Collaboration: Provide follow-up with other departments to ensure service standards are met and customer needs are addressed.
- Invoicing and Documentation: Verify computer-generated invoices, prepare shipping and tracing information, and maintain accurate records.
- Customer Feedback: Communicate customer feedback to management, identifying areas for improvement and opportunities for growth.
- Liaison Role: Act as a liaison between the warehouse, office, and customers, ensuring seamless communication and issue resolution.
- Procedural Maintenance: Maintain the procedure manual, ensuring it remains current and accurate.
Essential Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Computer Skills: Strong knowledge of MS Office applications and basic typing skills.
- Shipping Software: Familiarity with shipping software systems, including UPS and Federal Express.
- Communication Skills: Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with customers and internal stakeholders.
- Customer Service Skills: Proven customer service skills, with a focus on delivering exceptional experiences.
- Flexibility: Ability to work in varying facility conditions and adapt to changing priorities.
- Availability: Availability to work irregular or extended hours, including nights, weekends, and potentially holidays as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous Experience: Prior experience in customer service, logistics, or a related field.
- 10-Key Skills: Familiarity with 10-key numerical keypad.
- Industry Knowledge: Understanding of the distribution and logistics industry.
