As a Bookkeeper at Revv, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing financial transactions, and providing critical support to our financial team. Key Responsibilities: Driving Financial Excellence
As a Bookkeeper at Revv, your key responsibilities will include:
- Daily Bookkeeping: Maintain accurate records of financial transactions, including sales, receipts, and payments.
- Accounts Payable and Receivable: Process invoices, track receivables, and ensure timely payment of bills.
- Bank and Account Reconciliation: Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and other financial accounts on a monthly basis.
- Payroll Processing: Assist in processing payroll and ensuring accurate tracking of employee hours, benefits, and deductions (if applicable).
- Financial Reporting: Assist in preparing and distributing monthly financial statements, balance sheets, and profit and loss reports.
- Expense Tracking: Record, categorize, and monitor business expenses for tax purposes.
- Tax Compliance: Support the preparation of documents for tax filings and ensure adherence to relevant regulations.
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in creating budgets, forecasts, and financial analyses as needed.
- General Ledger Maintenance: Record and maintain accurate and up-to-date entries in the general ledger.
- Support Year-End Close: Help with year-end accounting procedures, including reconciliations and audits.
Requirements: The Ideal Candidate
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Proven Experience: Proven experience as a bookkeeper, accounting clerk, or in a similar role.
- Accounting Software: Proficiency in accounting software, such as QuickBooks or Xero.
- Basic Accounting Principles: Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and practices.
- Excel/Google Sheets: Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets, including financial modeling and data analysis.
- Attention to Detail: Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Independent Work: Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote setting.
- Communication Skills: Strong communication skills for collaborating with team members and external vendors.
Preferred Qualifications: Standing Out from the Crowd
We prefer candidates with:
- Associates or Bachelor's Degree: Associates or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Small Business Bookkeeping: Experience in small business bookkeeping.
- Payroll Systems: Knowledge of payroll systems and tax filing procedures.
- GAAP: Familiarity with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) is a plus.
