Job Summary

As a Store Merchandising Supervisor at Kohl's, you will be responsible for leading a team of associates to deliver excellent customer experiences through effective sales floor merchandising, pricing, and recovery. You will work closely with the Merchandising Manager to execute merchandising standards, make decisions about merchandising direction, and drive business results. Key Responsibilities

  • Execute store merchandising standards, following visual merchandising direction, and make decisions about merchandising adaptations based on store layout, adjacencies, and needs.
  • Maintain a well-recovered selling floor, ensuring product is displayed in a clear, easy-to-understand, and compelling manner.
  • Coach, teach, and train merchandising associates to accurately and efficiently execute company merchandising direction to brand standards.
  • Execute pricing activities in-store, ensuring accurate and efficient price changes, sign changes, and ticketing procedures.
  • Support the training of associates on merchandising standards, product knowledge, and tools, adhering to Kohl's brand standards.
  • Partner with the Operations team on merchandising incoming product, ensuring efficient execution.
  • Lead with integrity, honesty, and foster teamwork in an engaged and inclusive culture.
  • Exercise good judgment, taking appropriate partners as needed.
  • Model, guide, and provide direction to associates.
  • Demonstrate and coach a customer service mindset, including customer service philosophies, anticipating customer needs, and satisfactorily resolving issues.
  • Lead by example, personally meeting or exceeding individual goals (e.g., productivity, credit, loyalty).
  • Support strong operational standards, shortage mitigation, and merchandising presentation.
  • Prevent loss by educating associates, monitoring daily store activity, maintaining product protection standards, and ensuring company policies are followed.
  • Monitor and adjust resources as dictated by the business to support customer needs and workload demands.
  • Use key performance indicators (KPIs) to make informed business decisions that drive overall store results.
  • Accomplish multiple tasks within established timeframes.
  • Train, monitor, and reinforce company policies, procedures, standards, and guidelines.
  • Maintain adherence to company safety policies for the safety of all associates and customers.

Requirements and Qualifications

Essential Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
  • Strong verbal/written communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Flexible availability, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to perform the accountabilities listed in the "Key Responsibilities" section.
  • Ability to satisfactorily complete company training programs.
  • Ability to comply with dress code requirements.
  • Basic math and reading skills, legible handwriting, and basic computer operation.
  • Ability to operate and communicate on multiple frequency devices, handheld scanners, and other technology equipment as directed.
  • Ability to maintain prompt and regular attendance and meet scheduling requirements as set by the company.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2 years of experience in retail or a similar industry.
  • Experience supervising teams or associates, including the responsibility for coaching to achieve daily performance goals.

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. frequently and occasionally over 50 lbs. with a two-person lift.
  • Ability to climb, squat, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, twist, reach, lift, grasp, push, and pull on a frequent basis.
  • Ability to stand/walk for the duration of a scheduled shift (at least 8 hours).
  • Ability to visually verify information and locate and inspect merchandise.
  • Ability to comply with health and safety standards.
