Key Responsibilities

As a Tax Associate, your primary responsibilities will include:

• Providing expert tax advice and guidance to customers using Intuit TurboTax products
• Preparing and filing federal and state individual 1040 tax returns using commercial tax preparation software
• Managing product/software inquiries and resolving customer issues in a professional and timely manner
• Utilizing government websites, professional resources, and team expertise to seek out and deliver accurate answers to customer questions
• Interacting with customers through video and audio tools, providing a professional, friendly, and confident experience
• Documenting customer interactions to maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements

Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

Essential Qualifications:

• A minimum of 2 years of paid experience filing 30 or more federal and state individual 1040 tax returns using commercial tax preparation software
• An active Preparer Tax Identification Number (PTIN)
• Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to interact with customers in a professional, friendly, and confident manner
• A dedicated hardwired internet connection that meets Intuit Security criteria
• The ability to work a minimum of 20 hours per week

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience working in a customer-facing role, preferably in a tax preparation or financial services environment
• Familiarity with Intuit TurboTax products or similar tax preparation software
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to seek out and deliver accurate answers to customer questions
