About the Role: Remote Customer Service Trainee

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Remote Customer Service Trainee. As a key member of our customer service team, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our clients receive exceptional support throughout the tax resolution process. Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing timely and effective support throughout the tax resolution process.
  • Contact clients to request documents required to properly service their case, and respond to inquiries from existing clients.
  • Conduct financial analysis of taxpayers' income, expenses, and assets to inform case management decisions.
  • Manage and prioritize cases depending on complexity, utilizing effective time management skills to meet productivity and quality standards.
  • Interact with clients, Tax Professionals, and other departments to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.
  • Provide an exceptional customer service experience in every customer-facing interaction, ensuring that clients feel supported and valued.
  • Develop strategies to defend taxpayers' positions, and assemble documents to present to government agencies.
  • Ensure security from collection enforcement to prevent levies, and conduct research to inform case management decisions.

Essential Qualifications and Skills

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • 2+ years of experience in a Case Management role (preferred), or equivalent experience in a related field.
  • Superior Customer Service skills, with a proven track record of delivering exceptional support to clients.
  • Excellent Communication skills (written and verbal), with the ability to effectively communicate with clients, IRS Representatives, and other stakeholders.
  • Proficient Computer skills, with the ability to navigate complex software systems and adapt to new technologies.
  • A strong multitasker with excellent organizational skills, able to prioritize tasks and manage multiple cases simultaneously.
  • A team player with a strong work ethic, committed to delivering high-quality results and supporting colleagues.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Tax resolution experience or knowledge of tax resolution processes.
  • Knowledge of English grammar, including composition, editing, and proofreading skills.

Location: Remote (Central Time Zone)

Pay: $10.00 - $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
