Job Summary
As an External Support Engineer, you will be the primary point of contact for external content creation teams that use our tools. Your mission will be to provide technical support, create reference materials, and offer training to ensure these teams can effectively utilize our toolset. You will work closely with our internal development team to resolve issues, advocate for workflow improvements, and drive feature development.
Key Responsibilities
- Technical Support: Provide expert technical support to external content teams regarding the use of our content tools, troubleshooting issues, and resolving problems efficiently.
- Reference Materials and Training: Create comprehensive reference materials and provide training to external teams, enabling them to quickly get up to speed with our toolset.
- Issue Resolution and Debugging: Identify, solve, and debug issues with tools and workflows to minimize downtime and ensure smooth operations.
- Escalation and Collaboration: Escalate complex issues to the tool development team, work with production to track issues in JIRA, and collaborate with engineers to develop tools and processes that improve efficiency and quality.
- Advocacy and Feedback: Advocate for tools, workflow improvements, and suggestions from external teams, ensuring that their voices are heard and valued.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Guide or lead cross-disciplinary dialogs to drive features from initial concept to completion, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation.
- Professionalism and Reliability: Exemplify reliability, accountability, and professionalism in all work-related interactions, upholding the highest standards of quality and integrity.
Essential Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience: 2+ years of experience in a technical support, engineering, or related role, preferably in the entertainment or technology industry.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in C# programming language.
- Familiarity with Unity 3D game and tool development.
- Experience with JIRA, Confluence, or other defect tracking software.
- Knowledge of iOS and Android mobile development.
- Soft Skills:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Positive attitude and ability to receive and provide objective and constructive feedback.
- Strong organization and prioritization skills.
- Self-motivated and able to manage numerous requests simultaneously.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience: 5+ years of experience in delivering production-level code in a professional environment.
- Technical Skills:
- Advanced knowledge of C# programming language.
- Experience with cloud-based services and tools.
- Familiarity with agile development methodologies.
