As a Customer Service Representative in our Specialty Mail Order Pharmacy, you'll play a vital role in providing exceptional telephone support to patients receiving life-sustaining specialty drug therapy.

About the Role

As a Pharmacy Service Representative at blithequark, you'll be responsible for the overall coordination and processing of new patient medication orders and reorders. This includes verifying and revivifying benefits, translating and entering new or refill prescriptions into our pharmacy information system, communicating and collecting copay amounts, obtaining authorizations, and working with insurance companies, healthcare providers, and internal teams to resolve and defer orders with accounts receivable or clinical issues.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional telephone support to patients receiving specialty drug therapy, ensuring timely and effective resolution of their queries and concerns.
  • Coordinate and process new patient medication orders and reorders, verifying benefits and ensuring compliance with clinical and financial expectations.
  • Translate and enter new or refill prescriptions into our pharmacy information system, maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Communicate and collect copay amounts, obtain authorizations, and work with insurance companies, healthcare providers, and internal teams to resolve and defer orders with issues.
  • Demonstrate compassionate and genuine care for patients and customers, providing personalized support and ensuring a positive experience.

Essential Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • One year of experience in a customer service role, handling and resolving complex customer needs over the phone.
  • One year of work experience with Windows-based applications, including Microsoft Office, internet navigation, and email applications.
  • One year of computer keyboarding experience, with demonstrated skills and aptitude.
  • A verifiable high school diploma or equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications

While not essential, the following qualifications are highly desirable:

  • Healthcare work experience, with familiarity with benefits, insurance, prescriptions, and medical terminology.
  • Previous experience in a pharmacy or healthcare setting, with knowledge of clinical and financial processes.
