Job Summary

We are looking for a highly skilled and empathetic Customer Service Representative to join our Specialty Mail Order Pharmacy team. As a Pharmacy Service Representative, you will provide telephone support to patients, ensuring the timely and efficient processing of new patient medication orders and reorders. You will be responsible for verifying and revivifying benefits, translating and entering prescriptions into our pharmacy information system, communicating with patients and internal partners, and resolving accounts receivable or clinical issues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional telephone support to patients, ensuring timely and efficient processing of medication orders and reorders
  • Verify and revivify benefits, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information
  • Translate and enter prescriptions into our pharmacy information system, maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
  • Communicate effectively with patients, insurance companies, healthcare providers, and internal teams to resolve issues and ensure seamless processing of specialty medications
  • Work collaboratively with internal teams to screen, identify, resolve, and defer orders with accounts receivable or clinical issues
  • Demonstrate superb communication skills, empathy, and compassion when interacting with patients, ensuring a positive and supportive experience

Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

Essential Qualifications:

  • One year of experience in a customer service role, handling and resolving complex customer needs over the phone
  • One year of work experience with Windows-based applications, including Microsoft Office, internet navigation, and email applications
  • One year of computer keyboarding experience, with strong skills and aptitude
  • Verifiable high school diploma or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Healthcare work experience and familiarity with benefits, insurance, prescriptions, and medical terminology
